Coming Soon

Coming soon to this space:

Ghost World
Being John Malkovich (it's Terminal Island, not Pedro, but I don't care.)
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
Raging Bull
Head (Terminal Island, too, see above.)

That's all, so far. Those are only the ones from movies I already own. If anyone knows of any movies that were shot in Pedro (or nearby), preferably movies that are available on dvd, please let me know in the comments section (or by email if you have my address already).

Also coming soon: Actual Photos of all these locations! Soon! Really! I swear!

If you enjoy/despise this project, please let me know in the comments section!

As seen in The Big Lebowski.

"God damn you Walter! You fuckin' asshole! Everything's a fuckin' travesty with you, man! And what was all that shit about Vietnam? What the FUCK, has anything got to do with Vietnam? What the fuck are you talking about?"
"Dude, I'm sorry."
"Fuckin'...fuck, Walter..."
"C'mon, Dude... Hey, fuck it, man. Let's go bowling."

"He died, like so many young men of his generation, he died before his time. In your wisdom, Lord, you took him, as you took so many bright flowering young men at Khe Sanh, at Langdok, at Hill 364. These young men gave their lives. And so would Donny. Donny, who loved bowling. And so, Theodore Donald Karabotsos, in accordance with what we think your dying wishes might well have been, we commit your final mortal remains to the bosom of the Pacific Ocean, which you loved so well. Good night, sweet prince."

This is looking west towards Pedro, from Terminal Island. I'm not sure where this is, either, and those cranes won't help because they're probably not there anymore.

There's a bit of a filter over this shot, if you couldn't tell. I'm not quite sure where this is, but I'll find out.

"San Pedro City Hall" playing the police station in The Usual Suspects.

This never really was a City Hall, it was just a municipal building. The top floor of this building actually was a police station, and also housed the local jail. I know many folks who spent a night in the drunk tank there.

I think this is a small marina on the west end of Terminal Island. I'll get a picture and let y'all know in an update.

I decided to start posting pictures of San Pedro in this space. I am starting with screencaps from movies shot here. I will try to include photos shot from the same spots in upcoming posts.

Much inspiration comes from this guy:
